Virginia Brady, RN

Virginia Brady, RN,  joined the WGM OB/GYN team in November 2020.  She Graduated from Suffolk Community College School of Nursing, Phi Theta Kappa, in 2007.  She began her career in Maternal/Child nursing at Southside Hospital along with successfully obtaining and becoming a Medicaid Provider for Medically Fragile Children.

From Southside Hospital, Virginia went to work for Stony Brook University Medical Center.  Her specialty was working on their Women and Infants Unit for over 12 yrs.  There, she provided comprehensive nursing care, education and emotional support for patients and their families.  She also earned credits  in the area of lactation. This became one of her most favorite and rewarding areas in her career as a nurse.  She loved helping and educating her new moms with all of their breastfeeding needs. Virginia is a certified Neonatal resuscitation Program provider through the American Academy of Pediatrics and at times was needed to provide assistance on Stony Brook’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Virginia has had a love and interest in caring for newborns and children since early childhood.  She loved babysitting and caring for her young nieces and nephews. Virginia and her husband, Brian, have been residents of East Northport all their married life.  They have four children together and are enjoying being grandparents to their four grandchildren…soon to be 6!

Outside of work…Virginia finds much joy in being creative.  She loves to draw, and paint, sculpt and restore furniture.  She enjoys cooking, baking and trying new recipes. With years of being a licensed realtor, interior design, staging, and landscape design are also a passion of hers. Activities she enjoys include golfing, bowling and playing corn hole.

She is especially pleased to be working for Dr. Wagner and the rest of his team, knowing quite well,  herself, how instrumental and important the OB/GYN visits are leading up to the birth of a child.  Virginia coordinates OB care, performs testing and many other functions within the office.  She can be reached  Monday-Thursday  between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30 at 631-261-3322 Ext. 5 to assist with any Obstetrical or Gynecological questions or concerns.
